Company History


1947 Year

Founded by the first president, Keikichi Iwakura, with a capital of 150,000 yen.


1955 Year

Began production of stamped aluminum powder in Yokohama City, Kanagawa Prefecture
(under the name Shinwa Metal Powder Industry Co., Ltd.)


1959 Year

Began production of atomized aluminum powder and magnesium powder in Noda City, Chiba Prefecture
(under the name Tokyo Metal Powder Industry Co., Ltd.)


1963 Year

Established a new factory in Sekiyado Town (now Noda City), Chiba Prefecture, and merged with Tokyo Metal Powder Industry Co., Ltd.
Expanded and enhanced production facilities for aluminum powder, aluminum alloy powder, magnesium powder, metal silicon powder, stamped copper powder, brass powder, and began manufacturing various metal powders.


1969 Year

Merged with Shinwa Metal Powder Industry Co., Ltd.


1985 Year

Formed a capital alliance with Ube Industries, Ltd.


2000 Year

Obtained ISO 9001 certification.


2009 Year

Obtained ISO 14001 certification.


2011 Year

Transferred Tokyo headquarters operations to the Sekiyado Plant in Noda City, Chiba Prefecture, and renamed the facility to “Headquarters & Plant.”


2019 Year

Transferred sales operations from the Headquarters & Plant in Noda City, Chiba Prefecture, to the Tokyo Office in Nihonbashi, Chuo-ku, Tokyo.


2021 Year

Became a wholly owned subsidiary of Furukawa Co., Ltd.


2023 Year

Relocated the Tokyo Office (Sales Department) to Tokiwabashi Tower, Otemachi, Chiyoda-Ku, Tokyo.
